NY Bridal Fashion Week -Spring 2020 Roundup

After moving to Portland, it was a harsh reality of not being able to make it for April Bridal Market!  But we watched from afar and took note of all the gorgeous gowns that walked the runways for our 2020 brides! Here’s a round-up of our favorites for each type of bride out there.

Classic Brides

We saw a return to simple this season, and there were SO many gorgeous classic dresses to choose from! The main theme was simple taffeta, but we saw some other examples of classic gowns in lace as well!

Romona Keveza Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
This Romona Keveza gown is perfect for the classic bride who wants a-line and lace. We love it’s matching veil as well!
Lela Rose Bridal Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
This Lela Rose gown has the simplest of ballet corset tops and a gorgeous flowing a-line skirt. We love the 3D petals that give it just a bit of texture.
Jenny Yoo Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
This Jenny Yoo gown is screaming Julia Roberts to me! I’m not sure what it is, but that square neckline is giving me major early 90’s vibes. With simple silk and pockets, what is not to love?!
Oscar De La Renta Spring 2020
Oscar De La Renta always knows how to bring glamour. Maybe it’s a little too modern or too glamorous to be called classic, but we think a classic bride would love this simple silhouette & gorgeous draping.
Carolina Hererra Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Origami folds and a trumpet skirt? Yes please. This Carolina Hererra gown is simply the best.

Romantic Brides

Romantic brides you’re in for a treat. We saw a little but of a trend away from lace, but there are a lot more gorgeous floral details in the way of texture that we think you’ll love.

Monique Lhullier Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Monique Lhullier KILLED IT with romantic gowns this season. Starting off, look at this gorgeous lace with the amazing matching cape. Princess Bride LOVE.
Monique Lhullier Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
This high low gown is a bit quirky, but we love the embroidery details and the little hint of green is perfect for a garden or country club bride.
Monique Lhullier Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
The last gown from Monique, is giving us MAJOR Romeo & Juliet vibes. We absolutely love the off the shoulder swag sleeves and the romantic sweetheart illusion neckline.
Blush by Hayley Paige Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Maybe I’m a little biased, because this Blush by Hayley Paige gown looks a BIT like my wedding gown from Hayley Paige. But we love the mermaid shape, the vintage lace, and the floral petal flowing hair.
Oscar de la Renta Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Oscar de la Renta gave us this gorgeous gown which looks like it was a floral bouquet dipped in tulle. We love the shape, we love the bow and we love the flowing skirt!

Glam Brides

Glam brides rejoice! Get ready for some DRAMA in your gown. It’s all about volume and texture this season.

Nicole bridal spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
We love the lace, the sparkle and the slit in this Nicole Bridal gown. It’s a bit subtle for our glam bride, but we think with the right accessories, this dress could be a glamorous stunner!
Romona Keveza Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Pumping up the VOLUME a bit, we bring you this Romona Keveza dress. Still the sparkle and the gorgeous plunge neckline, but finished with a large ballroom skirt & a subtle cape. YAS Queen.
Hayley Paige Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Bow down to Hayley Paige. The volume in this skirt is BEYOND. We love the sparkle and shape in this top, but we want to LIVE in that train. Also, check out those hair accessories. You can get the look with our Comete Hairpins!
Oscar de la Renta Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Oscar de la Renta is the king of glamour and red carpet looks. We can imagine this gown walking the red carpet and the aisle!
Oscar de la Renta Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Is this not the epitome of 1950’s glamour? Channel your inner Grace Kelly and don this Oscar de la Renta stunner.

Modern Brides

We always envision our modern brides in amazing structural pieces, and we found a few that completely fit the bill!

Rivini Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
We’re loving the texture and the sculptural back bow in this Rivini gown. And that hair? Nothing more modern than a feminine fauxhawk!
Carolina Hererra Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Carolina Hererra is usually our go to for classic gowns, but she bumped up the modernity in her recent collection. We love this simple modern shape in the front, but party in the back!
Carolina Hererra Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Sculpture and pockets and that neckline? Simple modernity from Carolina Hererra.
Cushnie Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Cushnie…I mean…this back? I don’t have any words! GORG!

Boho Brides

We think the boho bride trend is slowing a bit, but for those true flower child brides, we found some perfect pieces to complete your boho bridal dreams!

Watters Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Watters brought us a mix of boho and romanticism with this gown. We love the ruffled skirt that reminds us of little house on the prairie!
Whistles Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Whistles brought us 2 of our fav boho gowns. This gorgeous piece with a few ruffles in the right place…

And this stunner! We love the neckline, the adorable ruffles and that gorgeous fabric for the skirt!

and they also brought us this gorgeous tablecloth lace. We love the neckline and off the shoulder straps!

Quirky Brides

At the end of the day, we always find pieces that don’t quite fit a theme. Our quirky and eclectic brides are looking for pieces that are just different, and we LOVE them for that! Here were just a couple pieces that we loved and felt perfect for a daytime bride who wants to be simply non-traditional.

Whistles Bridal Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
This mid-calf dress could read a little boho, but we loved the cut-outs, the ruffle at the neck and the length! Whistles is one of our new favorite designers!
Lela Rose Spring 2020 Happily Ever Borrowed
Lela Rose finishes our list with this adorable sleeveless suit! We love the quirky touch with the all over brooches!

So there you have it! Our best of from NYBFW Spring 2020! It was hard for us to not be there this year, but we still got SO much inspiration to accessorize our brides next year. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us to help you style your bridal day look!
